From a board to a finished scene

One idea through the whole of FRISO, without downloading and uploading files in between: references, images, motion, a title, a piece of interface and After Effects.

The tools in FRISO were made to pass things to each other. This is the path I use for a launch post, from the first reference to the file that opens in After Effects. Each step links to the newsletter that goes deeper into it.

One project, five stops. Nothing is exported and imported in between.

1. Collect in the Moodboard

Paste links, drop images, write notes next to them. Group the references by what each one teaches: movement, composition, color. When the board has a mood, open Palette and pull its colors. (More in Start with references, not with software.)

2. Bring the images to Motion

In Motion, open + Add and pick from the moodboard. It opens your board; mark the images and they become the cards of the scene. No download, no upload, no renaming files.

3. Choose the motion

Start from a ready-made scene, then change the layout and the entrance until it feels like the idea. Rhythm sets the personality of the whole thing in one click. (More in Slow in, slow out.)

4. Add the title

+ text puts an animated text in front of the cards, with the animation of your choice. When it needs more care, Edit in Lettering opens it with every text control; Send to Motion brings the text back, in the same place, with the animation you made there.

5. A piece of interface, if the post needs one

Launching an app, a feature or a result? + asset puts a notification, a message or a chart on top of the cards, with your text and numbers. (More in Objects that carry the story.)

6. Deliver, and keep going in After Effects

Export the MP4 for the post and, if the piece needs more, the .jsx. It rebuilds the scene in After Effects with real layers, the same motion and the same controls, so the last mile happens where you already work. On Pro, a brand keeps colors, fonts, logo and motion to reuse in the next post.
